The Scouts visited Purple Woods and learned a lot of things during the Maple Syrup Festival. Did you know that the optimal temperature for tapping maple syrup is 5 degrees celsius? Or that maple syrup is categorized by how dark or flavourful the syrup is?
We were able to take a ride in a wagon, play with some old-fashioned toys, try out some taffy that was made on site, and ate some yummy pancakes with maple syrup!
